Update From the GOBHI Leadership
Hello all,
There are a few things we would like to update you on this month. As part of the work to reduce administrative burden, Ann serves on the committee for HB 4092 and as co-chair of the Administrative Burden Reduction workgroup. Through the work over the last two years on this committee, we recently reached an agreement with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to no longer require signatures from clients/guardians at intake to demonstrate compliance to OAR 309-019-0135. Compliance will now be demonstrated through policies and procedures, posting information in the lobby, on the website and/or in a client handbook. This change is important and will help ease the burden on clients and providers and should make getting into clinical services easier. Â
The compliance team worked with Moda to complete the Compliance Monitoring Review submission. They are also currently working on Mental Health Parity for the Fall HSAG audit. The team has been busy conducting auditing and technical assistance in recent weeks.
Eastern Oregon University now offers new scholarship opportunities for students studying anthropology, sociology, or psychology. These scholarships were made possible through a $100,000 grant from GOBHI. Scholarship recipients will be announced May 16 at Eastern Oregon University.
Oregon School-Based Health Alliance (OSBHA) is partnering with the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families to host the Joining Our Youth (JOY): A School Health Services Conference at Oregon State University (OSU). In April GOBHI sponsored the conference which was held in Corvallis this year. The entire GOBHI System of Care team for Eastern Oregon attended.Â
April was Autism Acceptance Month. Every day, we work to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community to live fully. The Applied Behavioral Analysis team held an open house to celebrate the opening of the Ontario clinic. We had over 35 people join us to see the new facilities.Â
Thank you,
GOBHI Leadership
