NEMT Volunteer Drivers

In 2021, GOBHI provided 8,673,687 total miles getting people from communities like yours to important medical and behavioral health appointments.

That is to the moon and back 18 times!

Volunteer drivers play an important role in meeting the needs of Oregon Health Plan members.

 

Do you want to help your community while traveling through Oregon’s breathtaking scenery? Volunteering for GOBHI’s NEMT program is for you!

 

The NEMT program provides free rides to EOCCO members in the following counties:

Baker, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Hood River, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, and Wheeler

  • Driving distances and schedules are flexible.

  • Drivers are reimbursed at the federal rate for travel.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a minimum of five years driving experience

  • Must pass background check

  • Only use vehicle that has successfully passed GOBHI inspection

  • Maintain good driving record and required vehicle insurance
