Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 scholarships, awarded to three exceptional students at Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC). Each student has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship to support their academic journey and future contributions to the behavioral health field.

Valeria Ayala is currently pursuing her Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree at BMCC, with plans to transfer to a four-year university. Her goal is to earn a degree in psychology and build a career in the mental health field.

Mariah Mangione is enrolled in BMCC’s Nursing program and is working toward her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. She is especially passionate about specializing in mental and behavioral health nursing.

Pamela Hug is completing her AAOT degree at BMCC and plans to transfer to Eastern Oregon University. Her long-term goal is to become a child psychiatrist, serving young people in need of compassionate mental health care.

“Thanks to GOBHI’s continued financial support, these students are able to pursue their educational goals and dreams with less financial burden," said Elizabeth Corbett, Development Officer at the Blue Mountain Community Foundation. "We are honored to support the next generation of mental health professionals and look forward to the positive impact they will make in our communities."

Julie Leutschaft, GOBHI’s Chief Human Resources Officer, added:

“Partnering with educational institutions to support the development of future behavioral health professionals is an integral part of our strategic workforce development plan. We are proud to invest in students who are passionate about making a difference.”
